Job Purpose:

 Gastroenterologist is under supervision of Internal Medicine Services Department. His responsibilities are divided the outpatients, GI clinic services, including consultations, admission and Endoscopy Services including upper GI and lower GI procedures ERCP etc.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 Performs the professional duties as a Gastroenterologist in accordance with the delineation of privileges as recommended according to job description criteria.

  • Performs duties as specialized physician by evaluating patients with GI and liver diseases.
  • Provides care for patients in the Intensive Care Unit and Medical Wards.
  • To perform diagnostic and therapeutic, upper GI and lower GI endoscopies, ERCP.
  • Provides on call coverage for GI emergencies.
  • Provides consultation service to the patients in the area of expertise.
  • Provides supervision and education to the Endoscopy staff nurses and technicians.
  • Attends and contributes to the daily morning chief conference for the purpose of review of admissions and management problems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the chief of staff.
  • Holds Hospital committees’ membership when assigned to.
  • Supervise the work of ward physicians, professional development, physicians and interns, provides evaluation of their work at the request of the chief of services.
  • The chief of the department assumes overall responsibility for the proper functioning of the discipline.
  • Respect and show commitment of patients and family rights and works in a safe and efficient environment.

Patient and Family Education:

  •  Provides health teaching and education through:
  • Assessment of patient’s learning needs
  • Using demonstration technique and educational materials such as brochures or pamphlets and other needed materials.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Postgraduates of Approved Medical School.
  • 5 years postgraduate experience, including 3 years full time Residency training leading to possession of qualified certification in the Gastroenterology specialty from recognized center.
  • Eligibility to obtain M.O.H. license as consultant/Specialist in Gastroenterologist Field.
  • 5-year Experience in Endoscopy and ERCP.

Job Summary:

 Provides preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic medical/surgical management of all patients on emergency, outpatient and inpatient basis. Performs ENT consultation and handles referrals from other physicians.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Makes rounds (all staff in the unit) and shares in one morning round to see all patients in the ward.
  • Examines diagnoses and attend ENT patient’s medical/surgical needs as appropriate within his specialty.
  • Discusses and share management of difficult cases with the Head of the Dept. and other members of the unit at least in a monthly meeting.
  • Responds professionally to request consultations from other services.
  • Abides by ongoing hospital by-laws and regulations.
  • Complies with ASH medical record documentation policy and cooperates with CQI activities.
  • Participates actively and regularly in all CME activities.
  • Discusses the ability of cases management within his unit before referral to other units in Al Salam Hospital.
  • Attends monthly Mortality & Morbidity meeting regularly.
  • Contributes to the orientation and development of ENT specialists, Residents and Audiologist, Speech Pathologist in his unit.
  • Accepts assignments to participate in committees and other related duties requested by ENT Unit Head, Chief of Surgical Services and Medical Director.
  • Shares with other ASH ORL Consultants vacations coverage as recommended by Medical Director and approved by the Chairman of the Board.

Patient and Family Education:

  • Provides health teaching and education through:
  • Assessment of patient’s learning needs
  • Using demonstration technique and educational materials such as brochures or pamphlets and other needed materials.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Graduate of approved Medical School recognized by M.O.H. K.S.A.
  • At least 3 years Residency program leading to recognized American/Canadian/British/Arab Boards and Doctorates.
  • Possession of valid license as ENT Consultant from MOH, through Saudi Council of Health Specialties
  • High Standard of Professionalism.

Job Purpose:

Carries out Internal Medicine Health Care in AAH provides full range, privileged, Diagnostic preventive and curative duties of the specialty. Shares workload with other physicians of the unit.

Duties:

  • Provides diagnosis and treatment to AAH patients, on outpatients and as privileged, Inpatient basis including CCU and ICU for cross referrals.
  • Covers the emergency service in rotation with other physicians, responds promptly to calls for consultation when on-call.
  • Caries out formal and informal consultation requests from the unit physicians and other services.
  • Consults with other physicians on complicated and high-risk cases.
  • Accepts participation in committee and other assignments requested by Unit Head, Chief of Service or Medical Director.
  • Co-operates with CQI activities.
  • Complies with AAH policies and special attention to Medical Record Documentation O.M. policy.
  • Participates in rounds, in-service training, units meeting and CME activities.
  • Maintains professionalism, medical ethics, sense of responsibility and cost effective practice.
  • Abides by AAH-By-laws, MOH regulations and accountable to Head of Internal Medicine unit.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Graduates of Approved Medical School.
  • 5 years postgraduate experience, including 3 years full time Residency training leading to possession of qualified certification in the Internal Medicine specialty from recognized center.
  • Eligibility to obtain M.O.H. license as consultant/Specialist in Internal Medicine Field.
  • Subspecialty and special skill of Internal Medicine related procedures are desirable.

Job Purpose:

To focus on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of many different heart and blood vessel conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart arrhythmia, high blood pressure, peripheral arterial disease and heart failure. To use standard tests such as echo cardiography, electrocardiograms and holter monitors to make diagnoses, and they may use treatments such as anti-ischemic and pacemaker installation, conferring with cardiac surgeons intervention cardiologist when major anti-failure indication surgeries are deemed necessary.

Duties:

  • Diagnoses and treats disease of heart and its functions: Examines patient for symptoms indicative of heart disorders, using medical instruments and equipment.
  • Studies diagnostic images and electrocardiograph recordings to aid in making diagnoses.
  • Prescribes medications, and recommends dietary and activity program, as indicated.
  • Refers patient to SURGEON specializing in cardiac cases when need for corrective surgery is indicated. Provides directions and coordinates the activities of the Cardiology Department to maintain proper professional and administrative level of Patient care.
  • Participates in the planning and implementation of the hospital policies.
  • Makes decisions without reference to the Medical Director, except where administrative authority is required or when other Medical Services functions or organization of the company are involved.
  • Consults with or advises other Specialist and Consultants on major, complicated cases and with patients or guardians concerning necessary procedures.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Graduate from a recognized medical school by the M.O.H and have a higher postgraduate degree as a qualified specialist (MCh.,FRCS, etc) or its international equivalent.
  • Current valid license to practice his specialty in his country or origin.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the practice of his specialty.
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English with fluency in spoken and/ or written Arabic preferred.
  • Must be in good physical and mental health and of high moral character, with work ethic and personal attributes suited to performance and leadership in high-stress high-volume work environment.
